Little Gittoo is happy to wake up in the morning as it is Choti Diwali. The house has been cleaned. Lots of sweets have been prepared. It is such a special and happy time. Gittoo’s cousins are visiting and they are having fun celebrating Diwali. His mother explains how the festival is celebrated and the significance of all the things that they do during the festival. My seven year old has loved this book since he was four. He enjoyed the colouring activity book, “The Diwali Colouring Book”, that is based on this book and features the characters and settings from this story.
