Little Audrey’s Daydream - The Life of Audrey Hepburn
by Sean & Karin Hepburn Ferrer and illustrated by Dominique Corbasson & Francois Avril
“Little Audrey’s Daydream - The Life of Audrey Hepburn” by Sean & Karin Hepburn Ferrer and illustrated by Dominique Corbasson & Francois Avril. A biography of the iconic actress and humanitarian, Audrey Hepburn, written for kids.
The book written by Audrey’s son and daughter-in-law traces her life from her birth in Belgium through her childhood years in Holland during the world war followed by her life as an actress, a mother and a humanitarian towards the later part of her life. Glimpses of her dreams are described throughout the book and it is a beautiful way to introduce the lovely personality of Audrey Hepburn.
I have been her fan ever since I saw her first in the movie “How to steal a Million”. She acted in a variety of roles and excelled. When I came to know of this book, I knew I had to get it. Loved the write up as well as the beautiful illustrations which complement it so nicely. Loved the spread where Audrey is shown in some of her iconic roles of Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady”, Holly Golightly in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, Princess Anne in “Roman Holiday” and so on.
Enjoyed reading the book with my seven year old and looking forward to watching some of her movies with him sooner than later. Apt for children aged 6/7 and above. Overall a treat for all Audrey Hepburn fans!
