The humble salt has been part of various civilisations across the world. It has led to the rise and fall of empires while playing a key role in the economy.
Salt has also led to major developments being made in science. It led to discoveries being made both about it as well as due to it. Read the interesting book to get a fresh perspective about salt and know it’s journey through the centuries.
My eight year old loved reading the book with me recently. The narrative is brilliantly complemented by the beautiful and witty illustrations and laced with interesting facts. The book is divided into sections which lead the reader gently through various aspects. I had bought the book for my son when he turned six but he didn’t show interest in reading it at that point of time. This time however he was very keen to know more about salt. And the book proved to be the perfect means.
